Frequently asked questions
Who we are
We are a product development firm that specializes in new electronics products. Our engineers not only handle the design but we also work with other consultants, manufacturers, and certification bodies to offer you a complete turn-key solution.
What we do
We build products for consumer, industrial, military, and medical applications.
Depending on the needs of our client we assist with proof of concepts for validating ideas, prototypes for investor demonstrations, research into new technology, manufacturing of products, and certification for market approval.
What you get
We deliver a .zip package containing an organized list of design files that are required for manufacturing.
- Circuit Board files (source files and gerber files)
- 3D CAD files (mechanical design, tooling)
- Firmware (source code and hex files)
- Instruction Manuals
- Bill of Materials
Intellectual property
Any paid work done by us on your behalf is owned by you. We ensure this through signed NDAs and our service agreement which is available upon request.
Pricing
This depends on the work being performed and can vary greatly. Basic jobs like a simple 3D print might run $1-5K or a simple circuit board with minimal firmware might be $2-8K whereas more complex jobs that are multidisciplinary can get into the $10-50K range or more depending on number of engineers involved, targeted industry, manufacturing quantity, and certification requirements.
Timeline
We will make you aware of your options and provide an estimated timeline. If you need a simple proof-of-concept then in most cases we can turn that around in a hurry. For a fully functional prototype, this would take much longer.
A helpful way to think of it is to estimate a proof-of-concept on the order of weeks and a functional prototype on the order of months.
